From the moment we arrived at the Red Lion, we were blown away by the exceptional hospitality and warmth shown to us by the owners, Joy and Godfrey. Despite the initial tired appearance of the property, we were pleasantly surprised by the cozy and welcoming atmosphere they had created inside. Joy went above and beyond to make us feel at home, even going as far as to provide us with complimentary snacks when we arrived late at night. the attention to detail in the room was incredible - from the abundance of free toiletries to the thoughtful inclusion of toothbrushes and toothpaste, they had truly anticipated our every need. the convenience of having ironing facilities available made our trip stress-free, allowing us to look our best for our visit to the nearby Cheltenham races. the delicious food served in the restaurant further exceeded our expectations, and we found ourselves lingering in the cozy sitting area long after our meal was finished. Overall, our stay at the Red Lion was nothing short of exceptional, and we will definitely be returning in the future. Joy and Godfrey have truly created a hidden gem that far surpasses any traditional hotel experience.
